Today's cards feature products from the My Monthly Hero February Card Kit. Hero Arts launched their Premium kit this month, and I have used that too in the cards. There are a few extra supplies in the premium kit which will enhance your cards and I had a lot of fun playing with the supplies.
The February My Monthly Hero Premium Kit features the glory of butterflies! The celebration of butterflies starts with a gorgeous window die that combines flowers and sky elements. Coordinating layering stencils makes adding color to your die-cut a breeze. There is a palette ink pad that includes Thistle, Taffy, Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, and Key Lime Fizz Reactive Inks, and a perfectly sized small blending brush. A 3x4 stamp set includes both uplifting and everyday sentiments, and the kit is rounded out with cardstock, both solid and shimmery. New this month is the addition of Premium-only elements that offer additional ways to extend the potential of your creations – even more Creativity In The Box! For this kit the extras include four sheets of beautiful butterfly Hero Transfers, a majestic butterfly die set that can be used to cut out the rub-on images but also stands alone, and an exclusive Fuchsia & Gold Luster Duo Spray that will be sure to make you swoon!

Here are the cards I created using the kit contents.
Card #1
I used mustard card stock and by ink blending some Pumpkin Core ink and Cup O' Joe core ink to created a nice background. The I used the Caramel Core Ink to stamp the scripted background using the Background Scripted stamp set.Next I used the Butterfly Hero Transfer sheets for the butterflies. These butterflies can be cut using the dies from the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle and it makes it very quick and easy. I adhered them using some foam tape and finished it with a sentiment from the Loving sentiment strips stamp set. To create a lil more interest I added some white paint splatters and the card was done.
Here is a close-up shot where you can see the texture and details of the butterflies.
Card #2
I started by die cutting the butterfly window with some Neenah Solar white paper and three butterflies from the Butterfly Fancy die set. I used the mini blender brush and the Butterfly Garden palette reactive ink pad to add color on the butterfly die cuts. I adhered the butterflies on the window frame and finished the card with a bold sentiment stamped in black ink.
