Welcome to Gina K Designs October Blog Hop -DAY 3 and today I have played with the latest card kit by Gina K Designs. The adorable Card kit is called WARM WINTER WISHES CARD KIT and it a must have to create christmas and winter theme cards. You must have landed here from the supremely talented Emily Loggans blog and if you want to check all the wonderful creations from the entire Design Team visit GINA's Blog.
For the first card I stampted the adorable snow man with distress ink-Antique linen and coloured it with watercolours. I also used the pine trees from YOU WARM MY HEART stamp set to create a snow scene. The card is very simple and I loved creating it. I matted it on a kraft coloured cardbase and finished it with a sentiment from the Incentive Set.

For the second card I again used the same snowman and coloured him with copic markers. I adhered it on a kraft coloured card on which I stamped the snowflakes with DELICATE SNOWFLAKES BG STAMP. I heat embossed the word Winter in GKD GOLD EMBOSSING POWDER to add some oomph and interest.I finished the card by adding few shiny sequins.
The last card is super bright and cheerful and for that I used the Christmas Silhouettes Stamp Set. I stamped the solid bold flowers and leaves on some GKD artist choice paper with GKD inks. once the ink was dry I added shading using Caran'dache and prismacolour pencils. I love mixing coloring mediums and they give give unique textures and results.
For the bright blue background I used the Distress Oxide Inks and added few water droplets to get that beautiful texture. Then I aslo added few golden splatters to match the golden delicate sentiment. I adhered the flowers and leaves using foam tape and liquid glue.
here is a close up shot and you can see all the lovely textures and effects I achieved.
I hope you liked the cards I created today and if you did please do leave a comment for me as it makes my day :)
