I am currently enjoying CAS style cards which have a simple background and a bold striking sentiment. I did a card using triangle stamps and for today its a stencil with circles....lots of geometry.... LOL!! So for today's card I took a beautiful stencil by Altenew which is my favourite stamp company in the whole world when it comes to florals, but today is all about quick and simple cards.
I wanted to create a very dimensional 3D glittery background and for that I made my own glitter paste using Prima Marketing soft gel and glitters. I used a lot of glitter in various shades of blue/teal and created my own pretty backgorund. I hope you can see the sparkle in this photo which I took on an angle.
I placed the stencil on some Neenah Solar white card stock and used a spatula to spread the soft gell evenly and also added more glitter on top. To finish the card I matted the card front on a blue card stock and die cut the word happy from some dull gold card stock. To complete the sentiment I heat embossed "birthday" on a little piece of blue card stock.
