Hello everyone! Its a "cherry" good day as its time for a new Taylored Expressions Card Kit Release. Today I am featuring the VERY CHERRY CARD KIT which is very cute and fun.I used the kit to create two cards,both of them very differnt to each other and I hope you will like my take on the card kit.
The first card I stamped the VERY CHERRY background with a light coloured ink on arches cold Pressed watercolour paper. I coloured the cherries and the leaves with Daniel Smith Watercolors.I kept the coloring very loose and have worked in layers.Once the coloring was done I added a few paint splattters and matted it on a TE Toffee card base.For the sentiment I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the clear stamp set on a strip of watercoloured paper and adhered it on with foam tape.I really like the way this card turned out.
For the second card I stamped the image from the CHERRY ON TOP stamp set on TE Sugar cube cardstock with TE Oreo Ink and coloured it with copic markers. Then I used the matching dies to cut out the cherries. I also used a white prisma colour pencil to add the highlights on the cherry which make it look more dimensional and shiny. I added tiny black sparkly hearts with Glitter Grab and Oreo Glitter using VERY CHERRY STENCIL.I stamped the sentiment on a white paper strip with oreo ink.To finish the card I adhered the cherry and the sentiment on the OPEN SCALLOP CIRCLE die and that added a lot of interest in this simple card.
