Welcome to my blog!I feel so blessed and fortunate to be part of this amazing blog hop which is put together with a great purpose in mind. The purpose to help bring some love and happiness to our senior members of the society. As Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are approaching andthis can be a difficult time for seniors who are in nursing homes or shelters. This card drive is an effort to make them feel loved, celebrated, and honored.
Altenew is extremely generous by contributing 20% of the profits from these products (Thanks, Dad Stamp Set, World’s Best Dad Stamp Set, Best Mom Stamp Set, Extra Special Stamp Set, Beautiful Lady Stamp Set, Painted Butterflies Stamp Set, Sweet Bow Enamel Pin, Stay Awesome Enamel Pin) until Father’s Day, June 21st, 2020. The amount will be donated to the Food Bank of Central New York to support seniors in need.
The goal is to send cards for the elderly that live in nursing homes or shelters to let them know they’re not forgotten. Please check out the Celebrating Parents Card Drive and join this great cause by sending in cards.
I have created two cards for this blog hop which are very special to me. I have used the BEST BUDS Stamp set for my first card and watercoloured it with Daniel smith colours. I have kept the colours very muted as that adds to the grace and elegance of the card.I created a light grey striped backgroundand then arranged the flowers and leaves on top. To finish the card I added a tiny sentiment stamped in black.
For my second card I used the EXTRA SPECIAL stamp set and coloured it with Altenew watercolours. I stamped the image with Distress ink and that helps in creating gorgeous no line paintings. I love the simplicity of this card and finished it with a beautiful sentiment from the set.
