Welcome to my blog and today I am so excited to be a part of HONEY BEE STAMPS 5th birthday celebration.Today I have a very cute card to share with you which I have watercoloured. You must have arrived from the amazing Jill Hawkins blog and if you wish to see the entire line up for the blog hop click here at Honey Bee Stamps Blog. Check the Honey Bee Stamp’s 5th Anniversary release and you can buy them all the new products HERE.
For the card I stamped the adorable fox and her cub with some light ink on Arches Cold press watercolour paper. I love the cute illustration and wanted to colour it in realistic shades. I used a mix of orange, brown and black to get the shades perfect for the momma fox and baby fox.I always work in layers when it comes to watercoloring and that helps me achieve a good dimension in my painting.
To add more interest I added tiny strokes all over the fox's body to get that hair/fur like effect.I love how it looks and hope you will be able to notice that detail. To create a fun background I did some ink blending using distress inks and a blending brush. To add some more texture I splattered water and then cut the circle which goes behind the foxes.I stamped the sentiment and a tiny heart to add to the card.
To finish the card I fussy cut the image and added it on top of an ink blended circle which is finally adhered on a kraft coloured card base.
